Now hear me out… while I’m not a huge football gal, I respect the hell out of the game. (I’m more of a baseball/basketball/tennis gal) I do, however, love me a turnover, interceptions are my sh*t, like an exciting plot twist in a game’s narrative! But at the end of the day, I will always 𝓪𝓵𝔀𝓪𝔂𝓼 rep everything Bay Area. Period. I #doitforthebay Also, I’m the wife of a die hard Niner fan, so here I am, forever chanting by his side #bangbangninergang ❤️💛❤️ PS… HUGE fan of @saweetie who never disappoints 🔥 🔥 🔥

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs Chicken Wings, (10 flats + 10 drumettes)
  • 1/3 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/3 cup Vinegar
  • 6 cloves Garlic, rough chopped (large chunks)
  • 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • 2 Dried Bay Leaves
  • Olive Oil
  • Black Pepper
  • Optional: 1/3 cup Water

Directions

  1. Combine Soy Sauce, Vinegar, Garlic, Brown Sugar, Red Pepper Flakes, Bay Leaves. Marinate the Chicken Wings in the mixture for a minimum of 1 hour, but preferably overnight.
  2. Preheat Air-Fryer to 400 degrees.
  3. Remove Chicken Wings from the marinade and place into another bowl, reserving the liquid. Lightly drizzle the chicken with olive oil and give it a toss to even it out.
  4. Place as many chicken wings into your Air-Fryer basket without crowding. Add some freshly ground Pepper on all of the wings before popping into the Air-Fryer. Air-Fry until crispy and slightly charred, should take about 10-15 minutes (depending on the the strength of your Air-Fryer)
  5. Optional: In a small saucepan, heat up the reserved marinade along with 1/3 cup of water. Gently simmer for 10 minutes until it reduces a bit, and now you have a side sauce to either pour a little over your rice, make adobo fried rice, or to dip into some extra sauce!

🌟 Story Time 🌟

I have this very distinct memory of Papa throwing chicken wing bones back onto my plate, even after I already put them in the discar dpile. He’d shake his head and make this disappointed clicking noise. I needed to make sure the bone was clean, no meat leftover, otherwise I was wasint food. A lot of “Nope” and “Nice try.”
