Salmon Tacos (Low Sodium)

I had posted a pic of this in my Instagram stories, and a few folks asked for the recipe, and the truth is I didn’t have one! This is one of those “whatever seasoning was in my sister’s kitchen” type of recipes! I eyeballed everything. Here is my “no recipe” recipe.

Leftover IngredientIn My Pantry/FridgeGrocery Run
TortillasOlive Oil
Benson’s Salt Free Substitute (do not use Morton’s)
Chile Powder
Ancho Chile Powder
Garlic Powder
Mayo
Oregano (fresh)
Scallions
Salmon
Red Cabbage
Lime
Sour Cream

Ingredients

  • Salmon, cut into cubes
  • Benson’s Salt Free Substitute (do not use Morton’s)
  • Chile Powder
  • Ancho Chile Powder
  • Garlic Powder
  • Oregano (fresh), minced
  • Olive Oil
  • Scallions
  • Mayo
  • Red Cabbage, sliced
  • Lime
  • Sour Cream
  • Tortillas

Directions

  1. Cut salmon into cubes
  2. Eyeballed and sprinkled all the seasonings (salt substitute, chile powder, ancho chile powder, oregano) onto the salmon, tossed it around, and let sit. Lightly drizzled with olive oil, toss again. Air fried for 10-12 minutes, flipping in between.
  3. While it was cooking, I made the sauce. mixed Sour Cream, Mayo (went heavier on sour cream than mayo since Mayo is high in sodium), lime, and all those seasonings again!
  4. Toasted the tortillas directly on the stove (ya girl don’t like cold tortillas!) Assembled with 4 salmon cubes, red cabbage, sauce drizzle, scallion and extra lime!
